3-Day Cappadocia and Konya Tour from Istanbul

Day 1: Fly to Kayseri/Nevsehir and Tour North Cappadocia

Early in the morning, around 4:00 am, you will be picked up from your Istanbul hotel and transferred to the domestic airport for your flight from Istanbul to Kayseri or Nevsehir, departing between 6:00 – 7:30 am. On arrival at Kayseri or Nevsehir airport, you will be met and transferred to Cappadocia. There, a professional guide will lead your full-day North Cappadocia tour, beginning at Devrent Valley to see its unique fairy chimneys. Continue to Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley) for its mushroom-shaped pinnacles, followed by a drive to the city of Avanos. After lunch, visit the Zelve Open Air Museum in Cappadocia, where a series of carved caves and ancient churches offers a glimpse into the region’s monastic history. Towards the end of the day tour and before returning to your hotel, you will have the opportunity to visit the natural castles of Uchisar. The interior of the Uchisar castles is not accessible for visits. After the tour, you will be transferred to your Cappadocia hotel for check-in.

A traditional Turkish Night show with dinner is also available as an optional activity.

Day 2: South Cappadocia Tour and Bus to Konya

Choose an optional early morning hot air balloon ride for aerial views of the valleys; this experience can be booked at an additional cost.

After breakfast at approximately 9:30 am, your full-day South Cappadocia tour begins with pickup from your hotel. Visits include Red Valley, Cavusin Village, Pigeon Valley (Guvercinlik Vadisi), and either Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City. The tour concludes around approximately 3:30 pm, followed by a transfer to Nevsehir main bus station. From there, board the intercity day coach to Konya for the 3-hour journey. At Konya’s main bus station, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Konya Tour and Flight to Istanbul

After breakfast at approximately 9:30 am, your full-day tour of Konya and Catalhoyuk begins with pickup from your hotel. The day’s visits include Konya City Center, Mevlana Museum and Mausoleum, and the Selimiye Mosque. Lunch is served at a traditional Turkish restaurant before the drive to Catalhoyuk, where you will tour the excavation site of a Neolithic community. After the tour, you will be taken to the airport for your flight back to Istanbul, concluding the tour service.

Important notes: Your return flight from Konya arrives at Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), subject to availability when tickets are booked. Our service ends on arrival; the airport-to-hotel transfer is not included, so please arrange your own. To request a specific arrival airport, email us before booking; changes after confirmation cost extra.

IMPORTANT INFO:

• This is a regular group tour, but if requested at cost can be provided as a private tour.
• The regular group tour has shopping stops included in the tour.
• The order of the itinerary is indicative and subject to change, but all visits described will take place.
• The normal arrival time in Istanbul is between 8:00 – 10:00 pm. If you are planning on reserving your plane back home that same day, we recommend you book a plane ticket from 12:30 am onwards, to avoid missing your flight.
