6 Days Istanbul and Cappadocia Tour with Flights

Day 1: Arrival in Istanbul

Meet our team at the international arrivals exit of Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökcen Airport (SAW), where they will hold a sign bearing your name, then travel to your hotel by transfer. Spend the afternoon as you please, or choose the optional Night Cruise on the Bosphorus with Dinner & Show.

Day 2: Istanbul Byzantine and Ottoman Relics

After breakfast at approximately 8:30 am, join a full-day tour with pickup from your hotel. Begin with Hagia Sophia Museum, then visit Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Mosque) and the Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square). Continue to the Grand Bazaar and Topkapi Palace. The programme includes lunch at a local restaurant and, once sightseeing finishes, a transfer back to your hotel around 5:00 pm.

Day 3: Bosphorus Cruise and Flight to Kayseri/Nevsehir

See Istanbul from the water before flying to Kayseri. After breakfast at around 8:30 am, join the half-day Morning Bosphorus Cruise, starting with a drive to the pier in Eminonu and a short visit to the historical Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar). Then board a shared boat to cruise the Bosphorus, the narrow strait that separates Europe and Asia and links the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara. From the boat, see Dolmabahce Palace, Beylerbeyi Palace and the Bosphorus bridge, along with citadels, centuries-old mansions and both the European and Asian shorelines. After the cruise, return to your hotel to collect your luggage, then take the transfer to Istanbul domestic airport for your flight to Kayseri. Our team will meet you on arrival and transfer you to your Cappadocia hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4: North Cappadocia Tour

Choose an optional early morning hot air balloon ride for aerial views of the valleys. You can book this activity at an extra cost.

After breakfast around 9:30 am, leave your hotel with a pickup for a full-day tour of North Cappadocia. See the distinctive fairy chimneys of Devrent Valley, followed by the mushroom-shaped pinnacles of Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley), before driving to the city of Avanos. After lunch, explore Cappadocia’s Zelve Open Air Museum, where a series of carved caves and ancient churches reveals aspects of the region’s monastic history. Towards the end of the tour, visit the natural castles of Uchisar before taking the transfer back to your hotel at approximately 4:00 pm. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 5: South Cappadocia Tour and Flight to Istanbul

Meet your guide at your hotel for a full-day tour of South Cappadocia. After breakfast at the hotel around 9:30 am, you will be picked up, and your guide will explain the day’s activities. Start in the Red Valley, exploring its famous rock-cut churches, then hike approximately 5 km through the Rose Valley (Gulludere Vadisi). Continue to Cavusin Village, known for the houses and churches of Christian clergymen, before stopping for lunch around noon. After lunch, drive to Pigeon Valley (Guvercinlik Vadisi). Spend the final visit of the tour in the afternoon exploring Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, where early Christians lived. From there, take the transfer to Kayseri or Nevsehir airport for your late evening return flight to Istanbul. Look for our representative in the airport arrivals area holding a signboard with your name; after the greeting, a transfer will take you to your hotel.

Day 6: Departure from Istanbul
