Gallipoli Day Trip from Istanbul

Overview
An early start from your Istanbul hotel takes you south along the coast to the Dardanelles, arriving in Eceabat around midday for lunch before the fully guided battlefield tour begins at 13:00. Your guide sets the scene site by site, so the landscape and the story of the 1915 campaign come together as you go.
You begin at Brighton Beach and Beach Cemetery, where John Simpson is buried, then stand at ANZAC Cove and Ari Burnu, where the first troops landed in the dark on 25 April 1915. The afternoon climbs into the hills to the Lone Pine Monument, the trenches at Johnston's Jolly, Shrapnel Valley, the Turkish Memorial, The Nek and Walker's Ridge, finishing at Chunuk Bair.
It's a long but rewarding day, ideal for Australian and New Zealand travellers with limited time in Turkey who want to see Gallipoli properly without changing hotels.

Itinerary
Gallipoli Battlefields Day Trip from Istanbul
06:00 We collect you from your hotel or hostel around Taksim, then swing through the Sultanahmet area at about 06:30 to pick up anyone staying on that side of the old city. Settle in for the drive down towards the Dardanelles; the road follows the coast for much of the way and there’s time to rest before the walking starts.
12:00 You arrive in Eceabat and stop for lunch. At 13:00 the fully guided battlefield tour begins, and your guide sets the scene as you move through the sites in order. You start at Brighton Beach, then visit Beach Cemetery, where John Simpson lies among the graves. From there it’s on to ANZAC Cove and Ari Burnu, the spot where the first ANZAC troops came ashore in the dark on 25 April 1915.
The afternoon climbs into the hills. You walk the ground at the Lone Pine Monument, the main Australian memorial, then step down into the preserved trenches at Johnston’s Jolly, where the opposing lines sat only metres apart. You take in the view over Shrapnel Valley, pause at the Turkish Memorial, and stand at The Nek and Walker’s Ridge before finishing high up at Chunuk Bair, the main New Zealand memorial.
Around 18:00, you will begin the return journey to Istanbul, arriving at approximately 23:00. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel.

As a New Zealander I found Gallipoli a very though provoking place to visit. The guide provided was excellent and the group small enough that we could all hear. The long trip (5+ hours each way) was worth it just to visit the sites at Gallipoli.
The tour was excellent and very informative. Would highly recommend this trip. Tour guide, Hasan, was very good
Gallipoli Day Trip was a great tour. It takes a full day but is definitely worth your time. I would highly recommend this tour.
Definitely worth the Gallipoli day trip. Especially if you’re into history!.
We had a very nice day around the Gallipoli Peninsula. Our guide Hasan explained us many things about geography, history, culture… We highly recommend it!
The trip to Gallipoli was amazing. The tour guide was fantastic. This Gallipoli tour is a must for anyone visiting Istanbul.
Gallipoli is beautiful, and the tour was very well and professionally organized from the pick up to the drop off at the hotel. I highly recommend this tour.
Best tour I have been on in Turkey. The shuttle pick up was on time, the shuttle had AC and the included lunch was delicious. The best part of the tour was our very knowledgeable and humorous guide, Burak. He knew his history from an ANZAC and Turkish perspective and engaged our entire group. If you’re thinking of a day trip to Galipolli book with OneNation.
I did the Gallipoli day tour from Istanbul with these guys and would recommend it to everyone. Josh was our driver and he did a great job. Our guide Burak was outstanding, he blended historical insight with collected stories and his own perspective. The story I tell others about my emotional and memorable day at Gallipoli will mention Burak – great day
The Gallipoli tour was fantastic! The best way to know Gallipoli. Burak my tour guide was amazing. I will recommend it.
All was as described. We were picked up from our hotel in Istanbul for the 4 hour drive (once all pickups had been made) to the Gallipoli Peninsular. There was a half hour break on the way to and from Eceabat. We had a good lunch at a local restaurant. Both drivers on the way to and from the Gallipoli Peninsular were excellent. Burak was our highly knowledgeable guide for the afternoon and he explained the history from not only the British, Australian, New Zealand perspective but also explained the history from the Turkish perspective. Would highly recommend this trip.
I really enjoyed my tour of Gallipoli today the guide was fantastic and full of useful knowledge and the driver was fantastic I felt safe the whole way there and back even with ic on some parts of the road from snow.
Everything was well organized and well done. Gallipoli day tour bus and guide were great.
My visit to Gallipoli was an unforgettable and deeply moving experience. Everything was perfectly organized, from the early hotel pick-up to the guided visits of the WWI battlefields and memorials. Walking through such historic sites was emotional, and I truly appreciated the knowledge and passion of our guide, who explained the history in such a meaningful way. Lunch was tasty, the schedule was comfortable, and the whole day ran smoothly. Thank you to Gallipoli Tour and our wonderful guide for making this journey so special.
