After an overnight stay in Canakkale, continue to Troy to explore archaeological remains spanning Troy I to Troy IX, including city walls, the Odeon and excavation areas. Then visit the Pergamon Acropolis, home to the Altar of Zeus, Great Library and dramatic Hellenistic Theatre, before finishing in Selcuk or Kusadasi. Itinerary
Day 1: Istanbul to Gallipoli and Canakkale
Depart Istanbul in the morning for the Gallipoli Peninsula, with a short comfort stop on the way. After lunch in Eceabat, join your guide for a detailed visit to Gallipoli.
Follow the story of the ANZAC campaign through Brighton Beach, Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, Ariburnu Cemetery and the ANZAC Commemoration Site. Continue to the Lone Pine Australian Memorial, Johnston’s Jolly, where original Allied and Turkish trenches and tunnels remain, the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial, The Nek and the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial. After the tour, transfer to Canakkale for the night.

Day 2: Troy and Pergamon to Kusadasi or Selcuk
After breakfast, leave Canakkale for Troy. Your guided visit includes the model of the Trojan Horse, the Sacrificial Altars, the ancient city walls, the Houses of Troy I, the Bouleuterion, the Odeon and the current excavation areas. You will also see remains representing the successive settlements of Troy I through to Troy IX.
Following lunch in Bergama, continue to the Pergamon Acropolis. Explore the Altar of Zeus, also known as the “Throne of Satan”, the steeply built Hellenistic Theatre, the Great Library, the terraced Gymnasium, the Lower Agora, the Temple of Dionysus, the Temple of Athena and the Temple of Trojan. At the end of the visit, travel onwards to Selcuk or Kusadasi, where the tour concludes.
