2-Day Pergamon, Gallipoli and Troy Tour from Kusadasi or Izmir

Day 1: Starting from Kusadasi or Izmir – Pergamon Tour – Transfer to Çanakkale – Overnight in Çanakkale

You will be picked up between 11:00 AM and 11:45 AM from your hotel in İzmir, Kuşadası, or Selçuk and transferred to Pergamon. After a lunch break, begin your guided tour of the Pergamon Acropolis, once one of the most powerful cities of the ancient world.

During the tour, you will visit the Acropolis, the Altar of Zeus (referred to as the “Throne of Satan”), the Hellenistic Theatre with a seating capacity of 10,000, the Great Library which once held 200,000 volumes, and the Temple of Trajan. You will also see the Gymnasium built across terraces, the Lower Agora, the Temple of Dionysus, and the Temple of Athena.

After the tour, you will continue your journey to Çanakkale, where you will check into your hotel for an overnight stay. Overnight in Çanakkale.

Day 2: Gallipoli and Troy Tour – Transfer to Istanbul – End of service

You will be picked up from your hotel around 8:30 AM and travel to the legendary site of Troy, the ancient city immortalized in Homer’s Iliad. Highlights include a reproduction of the Trojan Horse, the Sacrificial Altars, the ancient city walls and dwellings, the Bouleuterion (Senate Building), the Odeon (Concert Hall), and ongoing excavation areas that reveal Troy’s rich history.

Next, you’ll take a ferry across the Dardanelles Strait (“the Narrows”) to Kilitbahir, where you can admire the historic fortress built by Mehmet the Conqueror. After lunch in Eceabat, the tour continues to Gallipoli, a site of profound historical significance. Here, you will visit Brighton Beach, one of the main landing zones; Beach Cemetery, ANZAC Cove, and Ariburnu Cemetery; the ANZAC Commemorative Site; the Lone Pine Australian Memorial, marking the site of a pivotal WWI battle; Johnston’s Jolly, featuring original trenches; the 57th Regiment Turkish Memorial and The Nek; and finally, the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial.

By 6:00 PM, your group departs from Gallipoli and travels back to Istanbul, arriving at approximately 11:00 PM. You will be transferred to your hotel—this marks the end of our services for the day.
