Highlights
Itinerary
Day 1: Istanbul to Gallipoli Battlefields
06:00 – We collect you from your hotel or hostel in the Taksim area, followed by a 06:30 pickup for those staying around Sultanahmet. From there it’s a long but comfortable drive west by air-conditioned coach, out of the city and down the Gelibolu peninsula. You’ll reach Eceabat at around 12:20, where lunch is waiting before the guided part of the day begins.
Your guide leads you across the ground itself, roughly in the order the fighting unfolded. You’ll walk Brighton Beach and the quiet Beach Cemetery, stand on the shingle at ANZAC Cove, then visit Ariburnu Cemetery and the ANZAC Commemorative Site. From there it’s up onto the ridges to the Respect to Mehmetcik Statue and the Lone Pine Australian Memorial. At Johnston’s Jolly you can still see the Turkish and Allied trenches and tunnels sitting only metres apart, and the day continues to the Turkish 57th Infantry Regiment Cemetery, the small ground at The Nek, and finally the high point at the Chunuk Bair New Zealand Memorial.
When the tour finishes, we transfer you back across to Canakkale and check you into your hotel for the night.
- Overnight in Canakkale

Day 2: Troy and Return to Istanbul
08:30 – After breakfast at the hotel, your guide meets you for the half-day tour of ancient Troy, a short crossing from Canakkale. You’ll start beside the wooden Trojan Horse, then move through the Sacrificial Altars and along the 3,700-year-old city walls. Your guide walks you past the earliest Houses of Troy I (3000–2500 B.C.), the Bouleuterion where the council once met, and the Odeon concert hall. You’ll also see the current excavations still underway and the layered remains of the nine cities, from Troy I through to Troy IX. Allow around two hours on site.
11:45 – We drop you back in the centre of Canakkale for some free time to eat and wander at your own pace. Your guide will tell you exactly where and when to meet in Eceabat for the return. The coach departs for Istanbul at roughly 18:00, arriving back at about 23:00, with drop-off at your hotel.

My husband, daughter and I booked two full day tour with All Istanbul Tours to explore Gallipoli and Troy. We had a wonderful time. We hope to meet you again in the future.
Fantastic 2 day tour of Troy and Gallipoli. driver very knowledgeable and was full of wit. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.
I recently took the 2-Day Gallipoli and Troy Tour from Istanbul with Gallipoli Tour and had a fantastic experience. The tour was well-planned and the guide was knowledgeable, making the trip engaging and informative.
We enjoyed tasty local lunch during the Gallipoli tour and stayed at a clean, comfortable hotel in Canakkale. The staff was friendly and ensured a hassle-free stay.
I highly recommend Gallipoli Tour’s 2-Day Gallipoli and Troy Tour for an unforgettable historical journey.
Troy was the part I enjoyed most, especially seeing the layers of the old city and then having time for the museum. The guide explained the history clearly without making it feel like a lecture. Gallipoli was very moving too, and I appreciated the calm pace at the memorials. It is a long road from Istanbul, so be ready for some hours in the van, but the stops helped. The hotel was simple and clean. For someone who likes archaeology and history, this 2-day Turkey tour was very worthwhile.
